Man Killed After Crashing Into Utility Pole In Baywood: Police
The 21-year-old crashed into the pole while driving early Wednesday.
BAYWOOD, NY — A 21-year-old Lindenhurst man was killed after crashing his car into a utility pole in Baywood early Wednesday, according to Suffolk Police. Jasson Garcia was driving a 2006 Acura RSX eastbound on Pine Aire Drive when the car left the road and struck the pole at the intersection of Pine Aire Drive and N. Thompson Drive at 1:10 a.m.
Garcia was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information about the crash to call the Third Squad at 631-854-8352.
