Man Stole From 5 Parked Cars In Bay Shore: Police

The 37-year-old was seen on security cameras entering several parked cars and stealing items over the past week, police say.

BAY SHORE, NY — A Bay Shore man was arrested on Tuesday for stealing from multiple vehicles in the area over the past week, according to Suffolk Police. Henry Sanders, 37, was seen on security camera footage submitted by residents, including from Ring doorbell cameras, taking items from at least five parked cars in the Bay Shore area between February 6 and February 11, police said.

According to police, Sanders was charged with five counts of petty larceny for stealing assorted items from parked cars on the following streets:

  • Sunset Road on February 6
  • Oakland Avenue on February 7
  • 1st Avenue, Bay Shore on February 9
  • Sunny Lane on February 11
  • Aberdeen Road on February 11

Sanders will be arraigned on a later date. The investigation is continuing and anyone with additional video or information is asked to contact the Third Precinct Crime Section at 631-854-8326.
