BAY SHORE, NY — The new "Nashville Thursday's" series that was set to begin on July 2 has officially been canceled, the event organizer announced. The event was supposed to be a weekly set of concerts and outdoor dining among a group of Bay Shore restaurants.

"Due to circumstances beyond our control and by directive of The State liquor Authority we are forced to cancel The Nashville Thursday’s promotion tomorrow night and every Thursday in Bay Shore until further notice," Mike McElwee of the Bay Shore Restaurant Committee and owner of several different Bay Shore restaurants, said." We will attempt to work with the Liquor Authorities and all appropriate agencies to get approval to host these events."

The event was going to bring the celebration normally held on Broadway in Nashville, Tennessee to Bay Shore.
