New Boutique Opens In Bay Shore

The unique 400 square-foot shop opened its doors on Tuesday.

BAY SHORE, NY - WKND Outpost, Bay Shore’s first indie lifestyle boutique, recently opened for business.

The 400 square-foot store located in a converted garage just off East Main Street opened its doors on Tuesday.

“We are thrilled to finally be open after almost a year of research, planning, and construction,” Jessica Cunha, owner of WKND Outpost. “I had my eye on Bay Shore for a while now and took notice when a slew of new businesses opened. I wanted to be part of that energy.”

Cunha, a native Long Islander, opened her business after spending months searching markets and trade shows to find emerging artisans and unique items.

“I knew that I wanted WKND Outpost to cover a lot of bases, our little shop has so many parts to her whole.”

The small store offers items as:

  • Home goods: books, blankets/throws, pillows, coffee mugs, and barware
  • Specialty food products: chocolates, craft cocktail mixers, drinking vinegar shrubs, roasted coffee beans, and loose leaf teas
  • Apparel: dresses, shirts, blouses and more
  • Gifts: greeting cards, jewelry, tie bars, pins, bags and accessories

The former garage itself has undergone a major renovation. The owners hired a the Brooklyn-based Et al. Collaborative to transform the space.
