BAY SHORE, NY — A new Japanese barbecue restaurant will be coming to Bay Shore soon. JBBQ & Shabu Shabu will be opening on 11 E. Main Street. An exact opening date has not yet been announced by the restaurant website states the new business will be "opening soon."
While the full menu has not been introduced, the owners described the kind of food they will serve and the style which they will cook the food. The website reads that the eatery will offer "two other healthy and popular ways in which the Japanese enjoy their fine meats, vegetables, and noodles."
Rather than the typical "hibachi" the food will be cooked on table side grill with a charcoal-aided flame. The cooked food will then be dipped variety of sauces. The style is compared to Korean BBQ and the website refers to it as "Japenese BBQ" hence the name.
