The planning board will be voting on the application at the next public hearing scheduled for Thursday, June 27. The permits will allow for outdoor bar service as well as outdoor seating for a bar or tavern, according to the agenda.

The plans for the new space include a dining room which will feature wood and glass elements, fireplaces, and custom handmade furniture imported from Ireland.

In addition, The Embassy will have an authentic mahogany bar, which was salvaged years ago from a grand, historic hotel in Saratoga Springs.

The outside of the building will be inspired by popular English and Irish pubs, including Chiswick Ales in London.

The eatery will also plant fresh flowers and greenery on the exterior walls along E. Main Street and Shore Lane.

The business plans to host private parties, fundraisers and benefits as well as live Irish music every Sundays.

"I am so committed to making this establishment a mainstay of downtown Bay Shore," Fleming said. "I’ve fallen in love with this place – so much so that my wife and I plan to move here. This isn’t just a business for us; it’s our new life."
