Police Release Photo Of SUV Involved In Bay Shore Hit-And-Run

BAY SHORE, NY — Suffolk County Police released a photo on Wednesday of a red SUV thought to be involved in a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a pedestrian earlier this week. On Monday, 74-year-old Mary Barbato, of Bay Shore was walking on Moffitt Boulevard, near Brentwood Road, when she was struck by a car at 6:15 a.m. Barbato was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore in critical condition.

The driver fled the scene of the crash. Detectives believe the SUV could have front-end damage. The driver fled westbound on Moffitt Boulevard and southbound on Brentwood Road
