Suffolk Man Killed In Fiery Crash: Police
He lost control of his Cadillac and the car hit a fire hydrant, and then a tree before catching fire, police said.
NORTH BAY SHORE, NY — A man was killed in a fiery crash after he lost control of his car and it struck a fire hydrant and a tree in North Bay Shore on Saturday — one of two fatal crashes in a day on Long Island, Suffolk police said.
Bryant Castro was driving a 2018 Cadillac westbound on Delaware Avenue when he lost control of the car and it struck a fire hydrant, then a tree in front of Delaware Avenue, and the car caught fire at about 3:35 p.m., according to police.
Castro, 30, of Brentwood, was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Bryant was the second man to die in a car crash on Long Island within the last day. A 38-year-old man died in Cutchogue on Sunday when his car struck a fire hydrant, according to Southold police.
