Bayside Skincare Specialist Marks 20 Years as Summer Skin Season Peaks

Yubin Shin, the licensed aesthetic specialist who runs Beauty Forever Spa in Bayside, is marking 20 years in skincare this summer.

Shin has spent more than 20 years in skincare, facials and laser treatments. She trained at the Hollywood Cosmetic Academy in Los Angeles and completed postgraduate work at the Helen Ames Institute in London. Summer is one of the busiest times of year at the spa, bringing a wave of sun-damaged skin through the door, from beach weekends that went wrong to dark spots that showed up seemingly overnight.

Shin's advice for the season is simpler than most people expect. She tells clients there is no single magic fix, because everything depends on the individual skin. The foundation she recommends is the same one she has taught for 20 years: cleanse and hydrate daily, wear sunscreen every single day, and support it all with healthy eating and good sleep.
