Benefit Concert for Doctos Without Borders

Saturday June 7th, 2015 Benefit Concert

On Sunday, June 7th, there will be a concert to benefit Doctors Without Borders at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Central Nassau. UUCCN is at 223 Stewart Ave, Garden City, NY 11530. Showtime is 4-7 PM.

Immediately following there will be a gourmet dinner, included in the price.

The Folk Goddesses are “three snarky, middle-aged women on a mission.” If the mission is to delight and enthrall audiences all over the east coast, they are highly successful. Their new, original CD is scheduled for release soon.

Lois Morton will be performing songs from her 2014 MAC Award winning show. John Platt says, “The legacy of Tom Lehrer lives on in Lois.”

Continuing the exciting “Spotlight On Sidemen” series is the legendary Skip Krevens. Skip has played on Broadway and all over the world, backing artists such as Ann-Margaret, Keith Caradine, The Gatlin Brothers, and more. In addition to being a solid sideman, Skip is an engaging entertainer in his own right.


Tom Griffith’s music and lyrics have been performed by Michael Bolton, Marc Cohn, Ry Cooder, Fats Domino, Dave Edmunds, Allen Toussaint, Jimmy Buffett, .38 Special, Kenny Rogers, George Benson, and many others. On June 7th, he’ll be singing and playing his own work.


Local favorite Mason Sansonia will be back with a new crop of songs. This will be the 22nd benefit concert Mason has performed at in his 20 years of life.

Between ongoing needs, fresh conflicts in Syria, Sudan and other places, the still-critical Ebola outbreak, and the earthquake in Nepal, Doctors Without Borders is in dire need of resources. Come help them and enjoy a great show and a great meal, all at the same time.
