Summertime Frozen Cocktails: The Refreshing Blue Bayou
The Blue Bayou originated in NOLA during Mardi Gras and is served up to beat the heat of the deep South! Luckily for Baysiders, Bourbon Street is serving them here all Summer long!

Smooth, blended, boozy cocktails in the heat of the Summer, what more can you ask for? The Blue Bayou is a wonderfully refreshing frozen cocktail made with Vodka and Blue Curaçao with the added flavors of Pineapple and Grapefruit. Absolutely refreshing on a hot Summer day!
NOTE: If your preference is Rum, you can replace the Svedka Vodka with Bacardi Coconut.
Ingredients:

- 1 cup of ice
- 1 1/2 oz Svedka Vodka or Bacardi Coconut Rum
- 1/2 oz Blue Curaçao
- 1/2 cup fresh Pineapple
- 2 oz Grapefruit juice
- chunk of Pineapple or Slice of Orange for garnish
Preparation:
- Pour the ingredients into a blender.
- Blend until smooth.
- Pour into a talled chilled glass.
- Garnish with the Orange or Pineapple.
If the finished mix is too thick, add juice. Too thin, add ice.
