Sunday Pun Story #5: The View from the Bach's Seat

In a dusty old library, I found long-lost information about Scratyer Bach, an obscure 19th century descendant of that great musical family.

He was the first musician to play a spit-tune on a cuspidor, and his harp solo, played with bare feet plucking the strings, was considered the best concer-toe of his era!

There is some confusion about when he started studying at the Leipsig Academy; some say he was two, while other say he was at the age of nein. In any case, he composed a stunning instrumental piece for the entry apt-etude test!

A musicologist as well as a composer, he was the first to see that the formal structure of Mozart's "A Musical Joke" was really har-har-harmony!

In his later years, he stopped composing, and turned bach to his heritage. Still a showman at heart, he played Bach fugues in an elaborate organ-dy suit!

He died from a sudden illness caused by a virulent bacteria that lived in the church's prime musical instrument. Doctors said he was killed by an organ-ism!
