Time Warner Fails Again!

Last night at 6:10p.m. our internet, cable TV and cable phone all went down. By midnight, when I called it a day, it still was not working.

When I called Time Warner, a representative told me that there was a major problem with the fiber optic cable at 45th Ave. and Parsons Blvd. that is impacting the whole neighborhood.

Time Warner has !

If Time Warner had a state-of-the-art network, it would have redundant capacity and switching ability, so it could re-route traffic around a problem. Obsiously, it does not.

In this wired era, such a primitive approach is not acceptable. Time-Warner must be replaced by a franchisee that can consistently deliver the goods, with a network designed to work around failures.

It's time for the City Council to terminate Time Warner's contract for nonperformance. And it's time for the city and state regulatory bodies . Northeast Queens deserves better than banana republic cable service. Time Warner must go!
