Braunstein Gives Citation of Merit Awards to Local Students
Assemblyman Honors P.S. 98 Student, Three High Schoolers for Community Service and Leadership

State Assemblyman Edward Braunstein D-Bayside, presented citations of merit to 64 students in his district whom he said showed “leadership” skills and took part in community service.
The assemblyman also handed out 1,800 state Assembly certificates to students graduating from 17 schools in northeast Queens.
“I provided the New York State citation of merit awards to students who have shown leadership and have demonstrated a willingness to assist both their school and their communities,” he said. “I am extremely impressed by the dedication and intelligence of the students in our public and private schools and I am confident of their success as the future leaders of our community.”

Among those honored were Michelle Li, who attends Douglaston’s P.S. 98 as well as Chelsea Henriquez, who attends Benjamin N. Cardozo High School, and Pearly Hidron and Nirav Mehta, who are students at Bayside High School.
