The inaugural meeting of the BHS Book Club on September 24 was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who attended. <a target="_blank" href="https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/the-changeling-victor-lavalle/1124083965" rel="nofollow noopener">The Changeling</a> by Victor LaValle was chosen as our next read. With Halloween in mind, we thought a dark fantasy horror novel blending mystery, folklore, and suspense was in order. Victor LaValle grew up in Queens, and the novel takes place in many of our NYC neighborhoods.
Join us on Thursday, November 12 at 7:30 p.m. for a lively discussion of the book, sharing of thoughts and theories, and plenty of good conversation.

Meet members of the 67th NY and learn about the soldiers they portray – from what they ate and how they dressed to how they fought, what they believed, and how they endured the challenges of the Civil War.
This FREE event will be held on the BHS Castle grounds. Please note that there is no rain date for this event.
