As provost, Call partnered with Student Affairs to lead the implementation of the school’s Freshman Academies, which give students personalized guidance during their first two semesters and are based on fields of study.
Some of her other initiatives at the school include recruitment and retention programs for faculty, the Instructional Support Services Center and Learning Lab and the Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program, which provides career development and support services to students planning for careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
“My focus as president will be to encourage a strong and engaged faculty, to enhance our student-centered learning environment and to create additional community partnerships,” Call said of being named to the school’s top position. “A key objective is to provide an academic environment that strengthens students’ commitment and makes it possible for them to graduate and complete their goals in a timely manner.”
