Divine Wisdom Academy to Host LEGO Engineering Camp
Douglaston school will offer three sessions next month for grades one through six.

will offer a LEGO engineering camp this summer for local students who will be entering first through sixth grade this upcoming school year.
The first session, which will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on July 9 through 13, is meant for students entering first and second grade this fall. In the class, participants will build bridges, mazes and motorized cars.
The second session, which will be for pupils entering grades three through six, will run from 9 a.m. to noon on July 16 through 20. Activities will include designing and building arch bridges, skyscrapers, motorized cars and Battletrack.

Session three, which will also be for students in third through sixth grade, will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on July 30 through Aug. 3. This class will include re-engineering standard vehicles into mechanized machines that can traverse challenging obstacles and battle against fellow bots.
The cost for one session is $225. Those interested in taking part in two sessions will pay $400. Attendees will be given a free T-shirt.
