Head of DOE's Parent Academy to Speak at CDEC 26's March 21 Meeting

Jesse Mojica will discuss the academy as well as the CEC selection process at meeting in Little Neck.

Jesse Mojica, executive director of the city Department of Education's Family and Community Engagement Division, will speak to members of Community District Education Council 26 at the group's meeting on March 21.

Mojica will discuss initiatives that the DOE division has been working on, including its Parent Academy, which launched in November, as well as the community education council selection process.

Members of the public who are interested in speaking at the meeting must sign the speakers sheet at the beginning of the meeting.

CDEC 26 covers a number of Queens neighborhoods, including Bayside, Little Neck, Douglaston, Queens Village, Bellerose, Oakland Gardens and Glen Oaks.

The business meeting for the group will begin at 7 p.m. and the public meeting will commence at 8 p.m.

The meeting will be held at M.S. 67, which is located at 51-60 Marathon Parkway in Little Neck.
