Little Neck Man Accidentally Shoots Himself in the Foot: Cops

A 23-year-old Little Neck man was rushed to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after he accidentally shot himself in the foot, according to a spokesman for the 111th Precinct.

The man, whose name has not been released, shot himself in the foot with a target rifle in his home on 37th Avenue near 254th Street in Little Neck just before noon, the spokesman said.

He was taken to North Shore Hospital, but police said they did not believe the injuries were serious.

The 111th Precinct's spokesman said that police had not yet determined whether the victim had a permit for the gun.
