Driver Arrested For Bayside Crash That Critically Injured 1: NYPD
The pedestrian was hit by a car Monday in Bayside, police said.
BAYSIDE, QUEENS – Police arrested the driver who seriously injured a pedestrian in a Bayside car crash Monday.
The driver, 53-year-old Tsz Pun, was charged with failures to yield and to exercise due care after an investigation by the NYPD's Collision Investigation Squad.
Police said Pun was driving south on 215th Place at when he turned left on 46th Ave. and hit the 59-year-old pedestrian, who was crossing the avenue, police said. The crash at 11:36 a.m. knocked the pedestrian to the ground, causing severe head injuries, according to police.

The man was rushed to Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where he is in critical condition, police said.
