Northeast Queens Students Make Dean's Lists, Inducted Into Honor Societies

A Douglaston student was placed on the dean’s list for her school, while another from Oakland Gardens was inducted into a national honor society.

Lauren Vergara, of Douglaston, made the dean’s list at Rochester Institute of Technology for the winter 2013 quarter. Vergara is a third-year student in the school’s College of Imaging Arts and Sciences.

Qin Liu, of Oakland Gardens, was inducted into the Alpha Sigma Lambda and the Financial Management Association at Manhattan’s Berkeley College.

Several other students from Queens were inducted into Alpha Sigma Lambda, including Flushing’s Tae Jung Chang, Woodside’s Soohee Han and Ridgewood’s Govanny Rodriguez.
