LITTLE NECK, QUEENS — 'Tis the season for freshly-picked produce.

The Queens County Farm Museum's beloved produce market is back for the season starting Wednesday, May 15.

The 47-acre farm, which grows over 80 types of vegetables, will sell freshly-picked produce from Wednesday through Sunday every week through November. The market accepts SNAP benefits and EBT.

This year's farm stand will feature several new crops, according to farm spokeswoman Sarah Meyer. The new offerings include tomatillos, mini melons, bell peppers and black beans.

Produce selections will change depending on the season. Springtime customers will find asparagus, radishes, herbs, lettuce chard and kale. Starting in June, the farm expects to sell beets, turnips, string beans, summer squash, spring onions and raspberries.

Eggs will be available for sale on a first-come, first-served basis starting at noon each day the farm stand is open, according to the farm's website.

Hours (May 15 November 3, 2019):

  • Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday: 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
