Queens NYPD Cop Arrested, Charged With Tampering With Evidence
NYPD Officer Kevin Martin was arrested Thursday on charges of official misconduct and tampering with evidence, the department said.

FLUSHING, QUEENS — A Queens police officer was arrested Thursday on charges of official misconduct and tampering with evidence.
The accusations against Kevin Martin, who worked for the NYPD's 109th Precinct in northeastern Queens, stem from an incident on March 1, 2019, according to a police spokesperson.
The spokesperson declined to comment further.

Martin received a desk appearance ticket to appear in court on Oct. 28, according to the Queens district attorney's office.
Martin, 43, has been formally accused of misconduct at least 14 times since he started working for the police department in 2006, records from the Civilian Complaint Review Board show.

Investigators substantiated 18 allegations against him, including for improper stop-and-frisks, use of force and offensive language, according to the records, which were obtained by ProPublica.
Martin previously worked in the 46th Precinct in The Bronx.
He has been named in at least six lawsuits.
