Monday was just another hot, sunny afternoon in Little Neck, until suddenly it wasn't.
Around 4 p.m., the blue skies and bright sun gave way to a dark, menacing shade of gray. It wasn't long before torrential rain poured out of the blackened sky, lightning flashed and thunder cracked with such force that you could feel it in your chest. And then there was the hail, giant nuggets of it the size of baseballs.
