Although NY has not released much information about the plans in the exchange, a family of four with 40 year old parents will pay....get this....$75,300 for their plan in the exchange. (- See Enclosure 1 page 36 for NY's costs) More than $75,000 - and the government has not announced what deductible will go with that plan as of yet. This is from the GAO report below (which is the President's accounting arm, so it's not biased against the administration). Fact that the ACA is not going to reduce healthcare costs and/or make healthcare accessible for the uninsured. With about two weeks to go before the exchanges are to be functioning, this is the latest information we have and it's really not good.
