Yacht Squadron Releases Summer Launch Schedule

Group is also calling for area youths to sign up for sailing program that will kick off in July.

The has released its 2012 launch schedule and put the call out for local youths who want to learn how to sail this summer.

The launch schedule from Douglaston’s dock is 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday until May 25.

From May 26 to Sept. 3, the schedule will be 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

From Sept. 4 to Oct. 28, it will be 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Youths, ages 7 to 17, will be able to learn to sail this summer in the yacht squadron’s 10-week program that will run from July through August.
