1 Dead, 1 In Serious Condition After Bed-Stuy Shooting: Cops
One man died and another was sent to the hospital after a shooting on Monroe Street, police said.
BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — One man was killed and another seriously hurt after a shooting on Monroe Street on Friday, police said.
Cops found the 37-year-old man and 35-year-old man with gunshot wounds on their torsos just before 10:30 p.m. near the corner of Marcus Garvey Boulevard and Monroe Street, police said. The men were found near a black Jeep parked in front of 480 Monroe St., according to police.
The 37-year-old was pronounced dead at the hospital. The 35-year-old was also taken to the hospital, and was in serious but stable condition, police said.

There have been no arrests, according to police.
The shooting comes as the borough and New York City deal with an ongoing surge in gun violence.
