2 Men Die In Early Morning Bed-Stuy Blaze, Police Say
Firefighters found the two men, whose names have not yet been released, after battling a fire on Patchen Avenue and MacDonough Street.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — Two men died in a massive blaze on Patchen Avenue early Friday morning, said police.
Firefighters found the two unidentified men after battling a fire inside 220A Patchen Ave. near MacDonough Street around 3:15 a.m., police said.
Emergency responders rushed one man, found on the second floor, to Interfaith Hospital, but doctors were unable to save his life, said police. A second man, found on the third floor, was pronounced dead at the scene.

One firefighter received minor injuries and was treated at a nearby hospital, said an FDNY spokesman.
The Patchen Avenue fire occurred just hours after four children and eight adults were killed in a massive blaze in The Bronx.

The FDNY Fire Marshal will investigate the cause of the fire and the Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death for the two men.
