NYPD Officer Accidentally Fires Gun In Brooklyn Subway Station

BED-STUY— A gunshot inside a Brooklyn subway station injured two NYPD officers and a civilian Thursday after an officer accidentally discharged a service weapon, according to police.

The officer fired inside the Kingston-Throop Avenues station, striking a 34-year-old woman and another officer with bullet fragments, police said. The woman suffered minor injuries.

All three were taken to a local hospital, treated and released.

Both officers have since been placed on modified duty as the investigation continues.
