Boys and Girls High School beat Academy of the New Church, PA at the 10th Anniversary of the 2011 Spalding Hoophall Classic, a nationally televised invitational of the nation's top high school talent:

"I just wanted the guys to get in the game and get something going to the basket," Boys and Girls coach Ruth Lovelace said of her team's fourth-quarter adjustments. "We had to make a decision to drive to the basket."
But Antione Slaughter's basket with 2.1 seconds remaining in overtime sent Boys & Girls to a 47-45 victory Monday at the Spalding HoopHall Classic at Springfield College.
