Arrest Made In Bed-Stuy Revenge Killing: Cops
Edwin Banks, 44, was charged with murder this week, months after cops first started searching for him in connection to a fatal stabbing.

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — A man police have been searching for since April in connection with a fatal stabbing late last year has finally been taken into custody, cops said.
Edwin Banks, 44, faces murder and weapons charges for the Dec. 30 killing of Jamel Horne, who died after being stabbed in the neck, chest and shoulder on Chauncey Street, cops said Tuesday.
Banks is the second person to be arrested for the homicide. Kareem Waters, 20, has also been charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

Police believe Banks and Waters, who are relatives, killed Horne as revenge for the 2017 murder of Edwin's brother, Shaquill Banks, according to the Daily News. Waters was arrested shortly after Horne's death, but Banks had fled to Massachusetts.

Horne’s relatives told the Daily News that he and Shaquill Banks were longtime friends and that Horne had been in police custody the day of the 2017 murder.
