Homeless Man Faces Murder Charge In Fatal Bed-Stuy Stabbing: Cops

Damari Bowles has been charged with murder for the death of 32-year-old Lizseh Casserly, police said Monday.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — A homeless man has been charged with murder for a double stabbing in Bed-Stuy last month, police said.

Damari Bowles, 28, stands accused of fatally stabbing 32-year-old Lizseh Casserly near Herkimer Place and Perry Place on Nov. 29, according to police.

A 36-year-old man, whose name was not released, was stabbed in the back and taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition, according to police.

Bowles allegedly fought with Casserly and the 36-year-old because they stood too close to his tent near a Bed-Stuy homeless shelter, according to the New York Daily News.

Casserly and the man had just left a nearby birthday party when he approached them, according to the outlet, the Daily News reported.
