Bed-Stuy Man Shot Dead In Building Lobby, Police Say

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — A Bed-Stuy man was shot dead Monday in the lobby of the public housing development he called home, according to police.

Rasheed Bennett, 31, took a bullet to the chest inside the Roosevelt Houses on Lewis and DeKalb avenues just before 2:50 p.m., police said.

Emergency responders rushed Bennett to Woodhull Hospital but doctors were unable to save his life, said police.
