Bed-Stuy Senior Goes Missing New Year's Day, Cops Say

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — A missing Brooklyn senior was last seen on New Year's Day more than six miles from her home, police said.

Mary Bumpher, 81, was last seen at 1655 42nd St. in Borough Park around noon on Jan. 1, police said. She lives on Throop Avenue in Bed-Stuy. Police did not specify who Bumpher was with at the Borough Park home.

She is described as standing approximately 5'5" tall, weighing 125 pounds and has a slim build. She has brown eyes and black hair and was last seen wearing a white hat, black bubble coat, blue jeans and black boots, police said.
