Check Out These New Eateries And Shops In Bed-Stuy

Here is Patch's round up of the cafes, crêperie, restaurant taco stands and beauty shops that opened in Bed-Stuy this summer.

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — Bed-Stuy is now officially the place to go for Turkish hot dogs, maple syrup crêpes and dog deodorant.

A slew of new businesses opened this summer and they're bringing new tastes and cool stuff to the neighborhood. Read on to find out what’s opening where and, of course, to check out photos that will make you want a second breakfast, lunch and/or dinner.

Bunny

What: This new Turkish bistro has a short but [savory and] sweet menu. The signature dish is Bunny: a Turkish hot dog on brioche. You’ll also be able to try feta whipped with lemon, stewed chipotle zucchini and pistachio ice cream with tahini. The drinks menu has wines, beers, and a couple Campari cocktails.
Where: 449 Nostrand Ave.
When: Open Wednesday through Sunday, 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.


Bed Vyne Wine And Spirits

What: One of the neighborhood’s favorite liquor stores has moved to a new, bigger location.
Where: 385 Tompkins Ave.
When: Open noon to 10 p.m Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Madame Poupon

What: This new crêperie and bistro is serving tartines, salads and, of course, crêpes. There are classic fillings — think comté cheese, homemade chocolate ganache, and la beurre sucre — but also new takes, such as La Myrtille with homemade blueberry compote and La Vermont with maple syrup, toasted walnuts and whipped cream.

When: Open Wednesday through Sunday, 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.


Pantry Products Brooklyn

What: Finally a shop where you can by small-batch cosmetics and self-care products for you, your baby and your pets. Yep, this is where you’ll find natural deodorant for your dog.
Where: 690 Jefferson Ave.
When: Open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.


Seven Restaurant and Bar

What: This new brunch spot had its official opening on Saturday. There’s something for everyone on the soft open menu that includes pancakes, a spicy chicken & cheddar waffle sandwich, red Thai curry bowl and a butter pound cake.
Where: 470 Nostrand Ave.
When: Open Thursday and Friday from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.


Warude

What: This new Japanese-fusion restaurant next to Bed Vyne is serving rice bowls and tacos with organic and farm-sourced ingredients.
Where: 385 Tompkins Ave.
When: Soft open hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.


Willoughby General

What: Willoughby General has been a one-stop Bed Stuy shop for fresh groceries, coffee, baked goods, cheeses and cured meats since 2015, but now the store is under new ownership. This is reportedly good news for fans of Kitten Coffee, Black Seed bagels and Dough doughnuts.
Where: 518 Willoughby Ave.
When: Open Wednesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.


Zabka Coffee

What: Zabka has opened a second location where you’ll find the specialty coffees and teas you enjoyed at 616 Halsey St.
Where: 492 Nostrand Ave.
