May...whew! ...it is the busiest month of the year for us - Mothers Day preparations and execution...the start of the landscape season...only prayer and lots of exercises (it's kind of weird how that works, but it does!) helps me get through it. First a HUGE shout out and thank you to all of the folks who visited our website www.flowerworksflorist.com and placed orders for Mothers Day tributes to their favorite people..as you have heard me say before..we could not do it without you!. Now I have a breather to stop and smell the spring flowers and enjoy the newly blossoming tress and perennials...enjoying the good life I like to call it.
What have you been doing for yourself this Spring? ....visiting the Botanical Gardens, working in your gardens and prepping those window boxes...or just being extra mindful as we walk around our neighborhoods. I think we are truly blessed to live in Brooklyn (and the rest of the boroughs), despite the many shortfalls. As a matter of fact one of the reasons I have lived in Brooklyn these past 40 years is that it reminds me so much of where I grew up in London, a big City which provides so many green and restful places to enjoy nature. So promise me that for the rest of this month as you are busy dashing about the city that you will take time to stop and smell and enjoy the spring flowers, and trees!
