Festival Brings Hoola-Hoops And Ginger Shots To Bed-Stuy Blocks

The eighth annual TAMA Summer Fest Weekend Walks is coming to Bed-Stuy on Saturday.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — Business owners will take to the streets of Bed-Stuy Saturday for a day-long festival celebrating local artisans, craftsmen and, of course, food.

The Eighth Annual TAMA Summer Fest Weekend Walks will stretch across Tompkins Avenue between Halsey Street and Gates Avenue from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, organizers announced.

Bed-Stuy residents will be able to enjoy activities for fitness buffs, foodies, music fans and all kids, courtesy of the Bridge Street Development Corporation and the Tompkins Avenue Merchants Association.

Food and drink will be provided by Bed-Vyne Brew, the Bush Doctor Juice Bar Eugene’s Co, Peaches Hothouse, and more.

Attendees will also be able to pick up goods Peace & Riot, Radical Women, Tumbleweed and check out demonstrations from Stacked Yoga, the Life Wellness Center and Karter’s Grocery.
