Firefighters Battle 5-Alarm Fire In Bed Stuy, FDNY Says
The massive blaze erupted near Vernon and Stuyvesant avenues Thursday morning, according to the FDNY.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN -- A massive five-alarm inferno blazed in Bed-Stuy Thursday morning, according to the FDNY.
The fire erupted in a commercial building near Vernon and Stuyvesant avenues at about 4 a.m., the FDNY said.
No injuries were reported hours after the fire, according to an FDNY tweet sent out at 8:30 a.m.

More than 200 firefighters battled the flames from the inside until they were forced to retreat outside, where buses awaited to warm them in the freezing temperatures, according to an ABC News 7 report.
Firefighters reported the building shaking and requested a stability check from the Department of Buildings, city records show.
