Man Shot Dead On Bed-Stuy Street Corner, Police Say
A man who was shot in the chest on Throop Avenue Tuesday afternoon died from his injuries, said police.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — A man was fatally shot in the chest on a Bed-Stuy street corner Monday afternoon, authorities said.
The 55-year-old man was shot near the corner of Vernon and Throop avenues around 12:55 p.m., police said.
Emergency responders rushed the man to Kings County Hospital, but doctors were unable to save his life, said police and FDNY.

Police are now hunting for the shooter, whom they describe as a man in a grey jacket.
The victim's name was not immediately released by police.
