Man Shot Dead Outside His Bed-Stuy Home, Police Say
Police found James Halsey lying outside his Bed-Stuy brownstone Saturday night.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — A man was shot down in front of his Bed-Stuy home Saturday night, police said.
James Halsey, 28, died after he was shot in the head near the corner of Madison Street and Throop Avenue at about 7:50 p.m., said police.
A nearby ShotSpotter — a sound sensor that can detect gunshots — alerted NYPD officers who rushed to the scene, according to police.

Halsey was declared dead at the scene and no arrests had been made as of Monday morning, said police.
