Man Fatally Hit By C Train In Bed-Stuy, MTA Says

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN -- A man was fatally hit by a C train at a Bed-Stuy subway station Friday morning, MTA officials said.

A southbound C train hit the man at the Utica Avenue station near Fulton Street at 10 a.m., an MTA spokesperson said.

Emergency responders arrived at the station but were unable to save his life, said the MTA and FDNY.

Southbound C trains were rerouted to the express track between the Hoyt-Schemerhorn and Broadway-Junction stations.

MTA officials warned commuters to expect delays in A and C train service and to take a northbound C train to access local stations.
