Person Fatally Struck By G Train In Bed-Stuy Station, MTA Says

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK -- A person was fatally hit by a G train at the Bedford-Nostrand Avenue station Wednesday afternoon, officials said.

The person was lying face down on the subway tracks near Nostrand Avenue and Lafayette Street at about 3:55 p.m. on Oct. 31 when the crash occurred, according police and an MTA announcement.

Information about the victim's identity was not immediately available, said police.

Transit officials warned straphangers to expect delays on the G train in both directions.
