Police Offer $10K For Info On Bed-Stuy Moms' Killers
Police are looking for the killers of Chynna Battle and Shaqwanda Staley, who were shot outside the Stuyvesant Gardens Houses last week.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — Police are offering a $10,000 reward to anyone who can shed light on the deaths of two young moms who were fatally shot in a Bed-Stuy courtyard last week.
Chynna Battle, 21, and Shaqwanda Staley, 29, were killed when two people shot into a crowd of people outside the Stuyvesant Gardens Houses at 740 Gates Ave. around 9:30 p.m. on July 12, police said.
Police believe the killers may have been retaliating after a previous shooting in May, which would mean Battle and Staley were not their intended targets, said NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce on Monday.
