NYC Weather: Tornado Threat Returns After Wild Night Of Storms
Forecasters warned of similar hazardous weather Wednesday after a rare tornado alert wreaked havoc on the area Tuesday night.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK — The storms aren't over yet. Forecasters warned that hazardous weather, and maybe even a tornado, could continue into Wednesday after part of the city was hit with a rare tornado alert the night before.
The National Weather Service put a hazardous weather outlook in place around 4 a.m., saying that strong to severe thunderstorms would start late in the afternoon and into the evening. The storms would most likely bring large hail and damaging winds, but an isolated tornado and localized flooding is also possible for Manhattan, Staten Island, Brooklyn and Queens, the forecasters said.
The forecast comes after a similar severe weather alert the night before, when a rare tornado warning was issued for parts of the city. The tornado warning was issued for Staten Island, along with some New Jersey counties.

Officials at one New Jersey school were trying to figure outif damage to their property had been caused by a tornado.
