1-Tank Adventure: Apple Picking At North Salem's Harvest Moon Farm
Apple picking weekends start this weekend, but there's more than just apples on tap at the popular orchard so make your reservations now.

NORTH SALEM, NY — It's that time of year again. Get some fresh air and pick a peck of fresh apples.
Harvest Moon Farm and Orchard in North Salem announced that apple picking opens this weekend.
General admission tickets are on sale for $12 through their website only and are available for weekend dates starting Saturday, September 10 and Sunday, September 11. After opening weekend, apple picking days will be weekends only, including Columbus Day weekend. Tickets for additional weekends will be available on a rolling, weekly basis.

Apple picking bags come in three sizes and are a separate fee (cash only) from general admission:
- 1/4 peck holds 4 lb. of apples for $15.
- Peck holds 12 lb. of apples for $25.
- 1/2 bushel holds 25 lb. of apples for $40.
The Farm Store offers freshly picked apples, fresh & hot apple cider donuts, their own farm-pressed sweet and hard cider, BBQ lunch, pies, breads and fresh baked goods and more. And new this year, they will have the apple cider shake up, which is a combination of apple cider slushie and soft serve vanilla ice cream topped off with an apple cider donut.

The store will be open on weekdays and no reservation is required to enter the store. On the weekends, the store is open via your apple picking reservation. The Farm Store hours, starting Saturday, September 10, are 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Harvest Moon posted "All of us at Harvest Moon thank you for your continued support of our Farm. Please spread the word to friends and family and see you in September!"
