20th Annual Golf Tournament Benefits Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester

More than $30,000 raised for Club initiatives

The 20th annual golf tournament for the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester successfully raised more than $30,000 for the Club’s programs and services. The signature outing was held on Sept. 16 at the GlenArbor Golf Club in Bedford Hills.

The platinum sponsor for this year’s event was Kim and Andrew Handler, accompanied by gold sponsor, Entergy, and silver sponsors, Clarfeld Wealth Strategists & Financial Confidantes ™; Clinton Investment Management; Cuddy & Feder LLP, D.P. Wolff, Inc.; Fidelity Investments, Mount Kisco; MTC Worldwide Transportation; and Bonnie Trotta. This year’s hole sponsors were CB Title Group, LLC; CityMD Urgent Care of Yonkers; Curtis Instruments, Inc.; Kensico Cemetery; Lee Manning-Vogelstein; Splash Car Wash; and Traub Lieberman Straus & Shrewsberry LLP. The spirit sponsor was Mount Kisco Wines & Spirits, and the radio media sponsor for this year’s tournament, as well as the Club’s other 75th anniversary events, was Pamal Broadcasting Ltd.

Following the tournament, nearly 100 golfers and guests enjoyed a cocktail reception including a tequila tasting and hand-rolled cigars and an awards presentation during dinner. The event also hosted a live and silent auction, featuring an autographed action photo of Derek Jeter as well as golf foursomes and luxury vacation packages.

“Over the last two decades, our golfers and supporters have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Club,” said BGCNW Executive Director, Brian Skanes. “I hope that participants take pride in knowing the powerful impact their generosity has had on the children we serve and the vital programs we provide.”

The Golf Tournament Committee was chaired by Jim Steets and includes members Kevin Bannon, Lou Claytor, Bruce Cohen, John Crabtree, Robert J. Levine, Tom O’Neil, Ben Palancia, Chris Rabley, R. Todd Rockefeller, Robert Sanders, Nick Scala, Emily Stoddard, Rick Suarez, Ken Theobalds, and Mike Wolfensohn.
