46-Year-Old Somers Man Arrested After Stalking 74-Year-Old Woman In North Salem: NYSP
The victim told police the man had repeatedly approached her while she was walking and made inappropriate comments over several months.

NORTH SALEM, NY — An unhealthy fixation has led to criminal charges, according to police in Westchester County.
The New York State Police say that on June 1, troopers from Somers arrested 46-year-old Michael P. Danko, of Somers, after an investigation into an incident involving a female pedestrian in North Salem.
Police say the investigation began after a 74-year-old woman contacted authorities about an encounter with Danko on Mills Road. The victim said the incident was part of unwanted contact that had taken place over several months. She told police that Danko repeatedly approached her while she was walking and made inappropriate comments that caused her to fear for her safety.

After consulting with the Westchester County District Attorney's Office, Danko was charged with misdemeanor fourth-degree stalking and misdemeanor first-degree harassment.
He was arraigned in the Town of North Salem Justice Court, where a full stay-away order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.
