77-Year-Old Katonah Man Killed In Fiery NJ Toll Plaza Crash ID'd

According to a report from the Philadelphia Inquirer, his Jeep Cherokee crashed into a barrier and became "fully engulfed in flames."

KATONAH, NY — A 77-year-old Westchester man was killed in a horrific weekend crash in New Jersey.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Henry Subin, of Katonah, died Saturday after the SUV he was driving crashed into a concrete barrier at the New Jersey Turnpike toll plaza in Carneys and caught fire.

New Jersey State Police said the crash happened at 9:43 a.m. As the Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Subin, hit the barrier, the SUV overturned and "became fully engulfed in flames."

New Jersey State police said the fatal crash that closed four lanes at the plaza for four hours on Saturday remains under investigation.
