79-Home Development Project on Hold in Bedford

Wilder Balter Partners was proposing to build the complex near Bedford Center.

A proposed 79-home development project near Bedford Center is on hold as builder Wilder Balter Partners contemplates whether to continue to work on the plan.

A 100-plus-acre parcel was to be the site of the complex, but Wilder Balter has received new information about the project and has requested the Planning Commission not continue reviewing the proposal for the time being, according to The Journal News.

Several residents have opposed the plan, which was to include a working farm and other amenities. Other proposals have been considered for the property over the years, but none have been built.
