Air Quality Alert Issued for Parts of Hudson Valley Saturday
Hot and humid condition will continue across the region.

With temperatures forecast to reach the 90s Saturday, a health advisory has been issued for parts of the Hudson Valley.
The state Department of Environmental Conservation issued an Air Quality Alert in effect from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. Saturday for Rockland and Westchester counties.

When pollution levels are elevated, the state Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects.

The National Weather Service's regional weather summary for Saturday said hot and humid conditions will continue with temperatures in the upper 80s to lower 90s. The combination of the heat and humidity will make it feel like the lower to mid 90s.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are forecast late this afternoon well inland and then across the remainder of the area tonight as a cold front approaches from the west.
